The OPTEC Fuel Maximizer product is a non-intrusive technology designed for modern computer
controlled gasoline and diesel engines for improved fuel efficiency and enhanced engine performance:

The technology utilizes electrolysis and ionization to add a small amount of hydrogen into the combustion chamber to act as a catalyst to burn more fuel in the fuel chamber. Existing combustion engines can leave up to 30% of the fuel unburned, resulting in waste fuel and higher hydrocarbon concentrations. Our technology generates a more complete burn, thus requiring less fuel injected into the chamber to get the same effect.
Our micro-mesh filter electrode significantly increases the electrolysis surface area. Electrolysis is therefore dramatically more efficient enabling the desired combustion effect using only ambient air and not added water vapor (others in the space use a water reservoir). Previous attempts at this kind of technology has failed in combustion engines because the excess water vapor in the exhaust would signal the on board computer to add more fuel and burn out the engine (computer interprets engine is running lean in fuel).
We have a proprietary oxide that releases electrons more easily than typical oxides. When coupled with the micro-mesh filter, it requires only a small amount of electrical current to get the desired effect (milliamps).
The ionization further separates the hydrogen and oxygen so it mixes better with the fuel and acts as a catalyst to burn more chamber fuel.
The engine’s on board computer will measure less oxygen in the exhaust (computer interprets engine is running rich in fuel), and appropriately reduce the amount of fuel injected into the chamber.

No. The OPTEC unit is a non-intrusive technology and is protected by the after-market warranty disclaimer covered by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975.
These units are suitable for all vehicles, from 4-16 cylinders, either gasoline or diesel engines equipped with an ECU and a MAF sensor.
No. All the units operate on a very low amperage system and only draw output when the engine is running.
It is highly recommended that an OPTEC Certified Technician does the installation.
No maintenance required. There are no moving parts to the OPTEC device. However, it is recommended the air filter be changed every 36,000 miles or as required. For generators and off-road vehicles it is recommended the air filter be changed every 750 hours or as required.

Standard Unit: For all vehicles weighing less than 8,500 lbs GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) in the passenger vehicle and light duty truck sector. This sector includes commercial car fleets, personal vehicles, trucks and SUVs.
Commercial Unit: For all medium duty weight class vehicles weighing between 8,501 lbs to 14,000 lbs GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) such as work trucks, delivery trucks, towing vehicles and light construction equipment.
Commercial HD Unit: For commercial, industrial, or Heavy-Duty Diesel engines and trucks weighing over 14,000 lbs GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight), including big rig tractors, heavy construction, agricultural, generators, reefers, pumping equipment and marine engine applications.
Variations could include trucks towing heavy loads that might need a larger unit or large displacement engines in super cars.
